Will he be expelled from Nursery??!!

Well that was a busy week – Final assignment completed and sent off, redundancy finally announced looks like 31st March will be the final day as a Civil Servant. Kids had a pretty much full on week and I finished framing my photos for my first exhibition!

However, I will now back track and focus on KIDS! And Nursery!  I went to pick them up from Nursery on Thursday, son was making a bit of a fuss not wanting to put coat on, saying “No” and walking off, squirming and being a very tired little boy.  Nursery deputy then enquired “is he like this alot at home?” “Yes” I said you know typical man not wanting to do what I want him do.  Then there was a response from her “Yes, he is starting to be like this with us too” OMG what do I say panic stations umm well I’m sure it’s the terrible twos” Nursery Deputy “So what do you do when he is like this” quick think what do I do “I sit him on the step or put him in the corner” I reply.  She continues to say that they are also taking him out of the situation getting him to calm down and listen to what is being asked of him.

Thoughts start to race around my head; are they thinking – I’m a bad mummy, she can’t control her son,  oh no will I have to take him out, will he be expelled? Can a nearly 3 year old actually be expelled? What’s he going to be like when he gets to school?  BUT then I stop and think NOOOOOOOOOOOOO he is 2 years and 9months, he is a boy exploring and he does tend to get over exited about things.  So when we get home, Hubby and I both feel bad so we tried to layout it out how it was – “Son and Daughter if you are naughty at Nursery and don’t listen then Nursery might not want you back to play with them again”   We kept reiterating it over the weekend when they did little naughty things or didn’t listen and explained if they were very naughty their childminder would not want to see them either.  I feel bad doing it but until I can think of other ideas – I know its bribing but should we be bribing with rewards making it sound more positive?

Hope you all have a good week

And then the weekend arrived aaarrrrggghhh

What to tell you this week.
Well this is the first week of nearly the rest of my life!! Redundancy is imminent we should hear tomorrow that we can apply for Voluntary if we so wish – of course the incentive to take this is an ok offer and it gets the GOVERNMENT out of saying “so we only made this number redundant the rest well they chose to make themselves jobless”, I am NOT HAPPY as daughter would say when I tell her “no” she often replies “mummy I’m not happy” and stomps her foot to the ground with her bottom lip nearly there as well.

So some of you will have been following me on twitter and seen that I have posed a question – should I look for something adventurous like opening an internet cafe for mummies with soft play area for their darlings or look for another pen-pushing job.  Most came back with the latter and as it has it I am due to meet with some Business advisers you never know what could be on the horizon.

Anyway back to family life this week – It went WELL AGAIN, it went really REALLY WELL, it was too good to be true, and then the weekend came upon us and our boundaries were tried to the very edge of parenthood.  Crying, arguing, not sleeping through the night, waking up in bad moods, breaking things like Daddies laptop, destroying the roller blinds in the bedroom and the general moans and groans of not wanting to do what we the parents would like them to do.  As the weekend progressed and Sunday was a pretty low day, little son it transpired had come out in a cold, with snot and sneezes, runny eyes and general sniffles all day.  So bedtime has arrived and gone and paracetamol, karvol rub and warm milk has been administered as well as a nice warm bath, a read in bed and a final cuddle goodnight and all we can hear over the monitor is snotty bubbly breathing, let’s hope it is a good long night’s sleep.

Hope all my fellow 7yummymummies are well.

Reviews, Silences and Normality Resumes

Hi Everyone hope you all have had a good week – I had one day in the office and the rest of the week was catch up with house work, shopping and getting the kids back into a routine again.  No childminder but nursery for two shorter days, and by Friday they seemed to be cream crackered, so I know next week we will have extreme tiredness by Wednesday night.

More developments with our Adoption, we had a meeting on Thursday with Social Worker and Court Officer – In six more weeks we should be [blinking hope so] officially “parents” after 3 ½ years!!!! Please Court Officer make it sooooooooooooo.

Thursday was also Hubby’s Birthday and unfortunately along with a pair of scissors and a Christmas Cheque Hubby’s Birthday present is missing. I did buy it, I know I bought it into the house and I know I didn’t wrap it, but placed it in a very strategic place where I would go and get it straight after the festivities and prepare for his day.  Four days later and all three items are yet to disclose themselves. But I did make a belated birthday cake yesterday which we are all enjoying very muchly.  Not counting the calories at all that will start tomorrow – Ha!

Received my first review products this week from Show & Tell – Mefinder if you go to my personal blog you will find the review there.

I do hope all you 7yummymummy bloggers are ok and I imagine you too must be really busy at the moment so let’s hope you will be online soon to give us all an update. And to those of you who read this blog we hope you are all well and have enjoyed the Christmas Holidays.

Getting excited about attending cybermummy11 which is happening later in the year and for which I see lots more are signing up to attend – will be great to catch up with you and meet you in the flesh!

I have always thought that Sunday is a good day to sit down and catch up with whats been happening in the week and what I’ve got to look forward to as well, however I have since found out that Sunday is also treated by many of you as Silent Sunday!  Which, for those of you who are unawares, was founded by mocha beanie mummy, who started Silent Sunday by posting a photograph that she had taken to sum up the week, for which required no words. Brill idea and will try and incorporate this into my blog if I can – but Sunday’s for me I seem to have lots to say, some may call it dribble, but I like to call it Therapy!

All back to “Normal” tomorrow going to sign off and catch up with a bit of my coursework last assignment due at the end of the Month!

Have a good week ya oll!

May I be the First of 7yummymummies to Wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR for 2011!

May I be the First of 7yummymummies to Wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR for 2011!

Sorry Hanzor – I know you are probably very busy ;)

Well it is still the 1st January; I am starting to catch up with things as life in the Village has been a bit hectic to say the least! And of course the same for all of us.

Now it is the 2nd Jan Sunday! and the day has swiftly pass me by and its nearly time for bed! – trying to get back in to the swing on things ready for a day at work in the office on Tuesday! So will try and keep it short and sweet.

I enjoyed the sermon at Church today with the readings and hymns following the Three Wise Men as it is very appropriate for me with regards to my journey this year read on to see how.

Poor Daughter got Tonsillitis the week leading up to Christmas so hence my latest personal blog FOG – Will we ever get better? and so all of us didn’t feel 100%. But a great time was had by all and now I start to clear the clutter from my world!

I am trying to be in an “optimistic” place and so the diary I have chosen to follow this year is “The Sacred Journey – Daily Journal For Your Soul 2011” by Cheryl Thiele.  Hopefully this will help me guide me, my soul and mind through some tough times ahead and help me keep focused on the way ahead.

I had a surprise for my Crimbo prezzie from my hubby this year a Nintendo DSi XL now I am not one for playing technical chase, war or get the ring games, but I do like to exercise the old grey matter, so a bit of Brain Training has been great – I started with a brain age of 80 but now after a couple of days I am in to the swing of things and have a brain age of 32! Not too bad yet for a 39 year old!

The Children are really liking their present’s, daughter got a new toy pram – she just loves pushing it around unfortunately Poppy Dog does not. And Son well he just hasn’t stopped talking and playing with everything in his little Happy Land.

Hope everyone enjoyed the festivities have a good week
