That's Not My Name!

I am wondering if all is well with the rest of the 7yummymummies and whilst I enjoy writing 2 blogs the other being my personal blog thoughts from a village as I am not the administrator to this blog I wonder how many readers out there there are and that I hope you are enjoying reading my weekly update or have given up.  But for the time being I will continue, as I seem to have lots to chat about and do not like to repeat my posts onto the different blogs.

This week DS has decided that he is not who is it but on Monday became a slug, Tuesday a snail, Wednesday agogagagagooo??????? Thursday his namesake [phew!], and Friday Ruby!!!  Sometimes I just can’t keep up with the names changes and he gets quite upset when I get it wrong. It is good though to see his imagination developing and exploring his identity which as a “looked after child” soon [very very soon] to be adopted child is a very good thing for him to be aware of.

And for those who may be interested to know following last week’s post Son is still at Nursery! He hasn’t been expelled YET! And all seems to be good.

My friend used to tell me how her daughter at a young age would take ages to eat at meal times and whilst some may say that if brought to the limelight may be the onset of food ‘problems’ in our case I am noticing that our DD just likes to sit and watch, watch to see what is going on around her, whilst food just sits in her mouth getting soggy, she watches to see what she is missing, watches to get me frustrated that she isn’t eating.  Breakfast time can be particularly painfully slow as like this Friday she suddenly ‘came back’ to reality and realised that she was the only one left at the table as son had wolfed down his bowl of 3 types of cereal [yes we can’t just have one but 3 as variety is the spice of life as well as keeping them regular!] but son has also wolfed down half an orange, wiped his hands and face and gone to play with his toys.  DD then starts counting and going through members of the family which includes the cats and the dog as well as Poppydog’s friends.  This Friday I decided to leave the kitchen to ‘get something’ to see if this hurries the process as ‘I have left her’ and forced ‘separation’ but it doesn’t work and time is ticking on and we really had a busy day ahead!

Hope you all have a good week

Mummyrella xx
